These statistics provide detailed insight into a firm’s deal sourcing strategy and help clients gauge their performance individually, as well as compared to the industry.
The results of the latest report indicate that firms saw an average of 18.4% of their target market deal flow in the LTM 2025 period.
The latest Deal Origination Benchmark includes results from 177 qualified private equity firms segmented into eight different peer groups, analyzing aggregate market coverage statistics for deals closed in the 12-month period ending June 30, 2025. The report is the industry standard for benchmarking sourcing efforts, enabling firms to assess their origination effectiveness and identify specific areas for further focus in the year ahead.
